The third annual Survive & Thrive Symposium in Longview on Saturday, February 23, was a fantastic day! To start us off, Tamika Felder shared her own experience and how it influenced the course of her life afterward. Morning sessions included nutrition and intimacy. Then participants engaged in an art therapy directive to outwardly express the inward impact of their cancer journey. We ended discussing late & long-term effects of treatment with the local Texas Oncology panel, including Drs. Frase and Nirmal, and nurse practitioner Monica White.
